Once upon a time, in the glorious sun-kissed plains of Corbatt, stood a magnificent and lonely bachelor elephant, accompanied only by his countless days of solitude. His name was Lalkan, and he was renowned for his graceful ways and enchanting disposition.
It was Lalkan's favorite time of year; the summer season was finally upon them. As the warm rays of sunshine glinted off the horizon, Lalkan made his way to a nearby river for his daily ritual. He would stand amongst the river's shallow waters, gazing upwards towards the blue sky, his long ivory tusks gleaming in the bright mid-day sun.
Once there, Lalkan immersed himself in River water, cleaning every part of himself with great care. He started with his trunk and then moved onto his head, taking extra care while cleaning his ears. This was the moment when his name was coined as "LALKAN". He then positioned himself straight, as if he was captivated by his own reflection in the calm waters.
Lalkan was a regular at this spot and would come without fail every summer. During the winter months though, his wanderlust nature would take him out of Corbatt and towards the distant terrains of Nepal.
Though the sight of the majestic Lalkan gracing the river banks was much sought after, it was difficult to spot him in this same straight position due to his frequent visits and changing rituals. Thus this photoframe of the astonishing elephant was a rare treat indeed. From a distance, one could almost feel the enthu and excitement emanating from Lalkan, as if he were preening to impress someone.
It was a sight to behold, one that even the mythical gods could scarcely have imagined. Lalkan the bachelor elephant inhabiting the Corbatt plains - a tale of beauty, mystery and love.
